Japan supports Al-Shifaa Association for Medical and Humanitarian Services - in the northern camps.

On March 16, 2022, Ambassador Takeshi Okubo signed a grant contract with Dr. Majdi Karyyem, Executive Director of Al-Shifaa Association for Medical and Humanitarian Services.

 

For the second time in a row, the Japanese Embassy in Lebanon supports Al-Shifaa Association by providing medical equipment to Al-Bared Medical Center in Nahr Al-Bared Palestinian Refugee Camp in the North. Where it provided financial support to the center to purchase two devices, given their importance in serving the population (an echographic device, an ear, nose and throat examination device).

 

During the signing ceremony, Ambassador Okubo showed Japan's great interest in supporting the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. For its part, Al-Shifaa Association for Medical and Humanitarian Services thanked the Japanese Embassy for its generous support in addition to the Japanese people and the civil assistance program for human security projects, and expressed its happiness that it was able, through this donation, to better serve the residents of Nahr al-Bared and its neighborhood, after working in various Palestinian camps in Lebanon .
