Al-Shifaa Association Affirms its Pride in Partnership with UPEL to Serve the Children of Shatila Camp.

Al-Shifaa Medical and Humanitarian Services Association announced its deep pride in the fruitful partnership with UPEL, which represents a leading model of humanitarian cooperation aimed at protecting children and strengthening the resilience of families in Shatila Camp.

Al-Shifaa places children and families at the core of its humanitarian mission by continuously working on:

  • Providing urgent medical care for children when needed.
  • Supporting families through guidance, assistance, and essential services.

In this context, the Director of the Union for the Protection of Juveniles in Lebanon (UPEL) emphasized the strength of the partnership with Al-Shifaa, describing it as a model of joint action in the camps. She stated:

"We are proud to stand alongside our partners at Al-Shifaa Association, who are among our most dedicated and committed partners in Shatila Camp. They are truly the backbone of child protection in our community. When a child goes missing, when urgent medical care is needed, or when families require support, Al-Shifaa is always the first to respond. This is what true partnership looks like—UPEL and Al-Shifaa staff standing side by side, united in our mission to protect and serve the children of our community. In a time when reliable partners are rare, we are fortunate to work with Al-Shifaa and consider them the heroes our children deserve."

Al-Shifaa concluded its statement by reaffirming its commitment to exerting all possible efforts in cooperation with its partners, stressing that such partnerships form a cornerstone of its mission to protect children and serve the community.
