Launch of Basic Life Support (BLS) Training under the MTCP Program in Lebanon
A specialized training course in Basic Life Support (BLS) has been launched in Lebanon as part of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) 2025, within the framework of joint efforts to strengthen emergency medical response capacities.
The course aims to equip healthcare providers, as well as emergency and first aid teams, with essential life-saving skills through hands-on training based on realistic simulations. These include scenarios involving infants, children, and adults, in addition to the management of choking cases.
This training component has been prioritized due to its critical importance in enabling frontline responders to deliver immediate and effective care—especially in resource-limited settings, where time is a decisive factor in saving lives.
