As part of ongoing humanitarian and development cooperation, Al-Shifaa Association for Medical and Humanitarian Services, in partnership with Mercy Malaysia and with the support of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), launched a specialized training program titled: “Capacity Building for Palestinian Healthcare Providers in Lebanon” on July 29, 2025.

The Association was honored by the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Malaysian Embassy in Lebanon, Mr. Johan Ariff Jaafar, who delivered the opening remarks, reaffirming Malaysia’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people. He emphasized the importance of strengthening healthcare systems within Palestinian communities, particularly through equipping frontline workers with essential skills, including trauma care, infection prevention and control, maternal health, and psychosocial support.

This program targets more than 350 participants, including healthcare personnel, first aid teams, and civil defense responders. It reflects Al-Shifaa commitment to building strategic partnerships that enhance the resilience of the healthcare sector and contribute to the development of comprehensive and sustainable healthcare services for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
