Al-Shifaa Association Inaugurates New First Aid Center in Baalbek

Under the patronage of the Governor of Baalbek–Hermel, Mr. Bashir Khodr, Al-Shifaa Association for Medical and Humanitarian Services inaugurated its new First Aid Center in the city of Baalbek. The ceremony was attended by the Mufti of Baalbek, Sheikh Bakr Al-Rifai, the President of the Union of Baalbek Municipalities, the Mayor of Baalbek, as well as representatives of emergency response organizations, civil society institutions, and Lebanese and Palestinian political parties.

In his speech during the opening ceremony, Governor Bashir Khodr praised the pioneering role of Al-Shifaa Association, commending the efforts of its emergency teams during the recent aggression, where they played an effective role in assisting civilians and transporting the deceased and injured.

Sheikh Bakr Al-Rifai also highlighted the significant humanitarian impact of the Association in the region, emphasizing the importance of sustaining such efforts that combine medical work with community service.

For his part, Dr. Majdi Krayyem, Executive Director of Al-Shifaa Association, spoke about the importance of the new center in strengthening emergency medical services in the area. He reviewed key programs and projects implemented by the Association across various regions in Lebanon, reaffirming its commitment to providing medical and humanitarian services to all those in need.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Association presented honorary shields to the event’s patron, Mr. Bashir Khodr, and to Sheikh Bakr Al-Rifai, in recognition of their continuous support. The attendees then toured the new center, marking the official launch of its services.
