“Capacity Building for Healthcare Providers” Training Program for Medical Centers and First Aid Teams

As part of its ongoing humanitarian and developmental collaboration, Al-Shifaa Association for Medical and Humanitarian Services, in partnership with MERCY Malaysia and with the support of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), launched a specialized training course titled: “Capacity Building for Palestinian Healthcare Providers in Lebanon,” on July 29, 2025.

The association was honored by the participation of Mr. Johan Ariff Jaafar, Chargé d’Affaires of the Malaysian Embassy in Lebanon, who delivered an opening speech reaffirming his country’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people. He emphasized the importance of strengthening health systems in Palestinian communities, particularly by training frontline workers in key areas such as trauma care, infection prevention, maternal health, and psychosocial support.

The program targets over 350 participants from healthcare teams, first aid units, and civil defense groups. It reflects Al-Shifaa’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that enhance the resilience of the health sector and contribute to the development of comprehensive and sustainable healthcare services for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
