Al-Shifa Association Holds Its Annual Central Iftar for Ramadan 2025

Al-Shifa Association for Medical and Humanitarian Services held its annual iftar. The iftar included volunteers from the ambulance and civil defense teams, directors of medical centers, and the administrative and executive board of Al-Shifa Association.

The attendees also included representatives of ambulance and civil defense teams, as well as associations and medical organizations operating in Lebanon.

The iftar began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming speech delivered by the association's Executive Director, Dr. Majdi Karim.

The association's president, Dr. Fouad Al-Rifai, then delivered a speech on behalf of the association, praising the tremendous efforts made by the association in the field of medical centers, first aid teams, and civil defense. Dr. Al-Rifai commended the prominent humanitarian role played by the association in saving lives and providing medical care, especially during crises.

He also noted the widespread presence of first aid and civil defense teams from the far north of Lebanon to the south, including the Bekaa and Baalbek regions. He emphasized the importance of humanitarian efforts to save lives during difficult circumstances.

At the conclusion of the iftar, the association honored its board members, headed by Dr. Fouad Al-Rifai, Mr. Basem Al-Hout, and Mr. Khaled Farroukh, in recognition of their outstanding contributions. The 15 first aid and civil defense teams deployed across Lebanon were also honored for their dedication and commitment.

This event reflects Al-Shifa Association's commitment to continuing its humanitarian and community efforts to support those in need and provide assistance in the most difficult circumstances.
